Aluminium louvres can be supplied in a range of finishes. At Ventuer, the three primary options are powder coating, anodising and mill finish aluminium.
Powder coating is the most common of the finishes for performance louvres, due to its flexible nature. With endless colour and gloss options, it is simple to create a uniform finish with the façade, while providing a durable and corrosion resistant layer.
The process involves applying a dry, electrostatically charged powder to the aluminium surface before curing it under the heat to form a continuous protective coating.
To create a general understanding of how the process works, the team at Protolabs have produced an insightful video explaining powder coating and how it works.
