What are Acoustic Louvres Made From?

Ventuer acoustic louvres combine extruded and perforated aluminium with a mineral rockwool core. The perforated face allows sound to enter the blade, where it is absorbed by the insulation.

Ventuer acoustic louvres are manufactured from aluminium components, rather than folded sheet metal which is commonly used in the market. Folded sheet metal, whether galvanised or painted, relies on protective coatings for corrosion resistance and can be susceptible to degrading overtime. Aluminium provides corrosion resistance, improving durability, particularly in exposed environments.

The extruded aluminium nosing is a key part of the acoustic blade profile, allowing for precise and repeatable geometry, including twin weatherstop profiles without requiring additional components.
